Threatening rains couldn’t keep our parents and friends away from the first opportunity to come together in 2024. Always a highlight on our school calendar, we were thrilled to host over 700 parents and carers at the 2024 P&F Welcome Soiree. The event provided a perfect opportunity for parents to reconnect after the long holiday break, forge new connections and celebrate the year ahead. It was also a special moment for our new families to experience the warmth and kindness of the St Cath’s community for the first time.

With strings of fairy lights twinkling above and smooth jazz wafting through the speakers, the atmosphere was magical. We were thrilled to be able to hold the event (mostly) outside. But even the sudden downpour did little to dampen the excitement and buzz of the crowd filling the Cloisters Lawn. It was wonderful to witness the strength of our parent community and their enthusiasm for St Cath’s. The event has truly set the tone for another great year here at St Catherine’s.

Unfortunately, our luck with the weather continued throughout the year. But Not even storm clouds could keep the St Cath’s community from rallying to show their support at the Magnolia Fair.

As the Fair was initially postponed due to bad weather, the forecast for rain on Saturday 15 June had many of us concerned. However, in the end, all worries were alleviated as the St Cath’s community showed up in force to make this year’s Magnolia Fair, proudly supported by Orthoboutique, the best one yet.

From the boarders running the petting zoo to the parents spending months preparing items for their stalls and the staff working behind the scenes, many hands made this event a success. We thank each and every one of you for your hard work and generosity. We couldn’t have done it without you!
